Zanesville is a city located in Muskingum County, Ohio, and serves as the county seat. It has a population of approximately 25,000 people and is the second-largest city in the county after the nearby city of Cambridge. Zanesville has a rich history, having been established in 1799 and playing an important role in the state’s early history. Today, the city is a thriving center of commerce, culture, and education.
One of the city’s most distinctive features is its architecture, which includes a number of historic buildings and landmarks. Zanesville has more than 20 sites on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Y Bridge, which spans the confluence of the Muskingum and Licking Rivers, and the Muskingum County Courthouse, a beautiful example of Greek Revival architecture. The city is also home to several museums and galleries, including the Zanesville Museum of Art and the Alan Cottrill Sculpture Studio & Gallery.
In addition to its cultural attractions, Zanesville is also a hub of economic activity.
